Job summary

Cumming Group in Somerset, New Jersey seeks a Senior MEP Construction Project Manager (Data Center) to lead complex data center projects with a client-focused approach. You will drive schedule, scope, and cost, while coordinating with in-house cost management and scheduling teams to deliver integrated program management.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of relevant experience, a related degree, and certifications (CCM/PMP/PE/AIA/LEED).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field is required.
• 8+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction management.
• Must have data center or mission critical infrastructure project experience.
• CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED certifications preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to interface with all management levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of project schedule, scope, and cost.
• Value engineer opportunities for savings; ensure substitutions are equivalent.
• Communicate with stakeholders and manage project team members.
• Prepare PM plan and fee/budget proposals at project outset.
• Develop action plans; adjust contract scope as needed.
• Coordinate with cost management for estimates and budget reconciliation.
• Drive permitting with local/state/federal agencies; ensure timely approvals.
