Job summary

The City of High Point is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to maintain complex fiscal records, perform accounting duties, and support financial reporting within the Financial Services Department. The role emphasizes GASB compliance, system improvements, and collaboration across departments.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 4 years of accounting/financial analysis experience, with strong Excel and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 4 years of accounting and financial analysis experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close and ensure general ledger accuracy for monthly reporting.
• Prepare and review the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and assist with GASB implementations.
• Support audits and provide financial analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with maintenance of accounting controls and internal control procedures.
• Collaborate with IT on finance system projects and improvements.
