Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience.
• Experience with Commercial Auto (Taxi, Livery, Para Transit) and General Liability (Contractors and OL&T).
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of carrier billing and processing systems; PTS and AS400 preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of coverage, rating plans, and state requirements.
• Underwrite and price new and renewal accounts with proper documentation.
• Enter new business, endorsements, and renewals.
• Manage monthly billing for direct bill accounts and collect payments.
• Respond to agent inquiries and monitor risk profiles.
• Mentor less experienced underwriters.
