Job summary

Defense Logistics Agency in the United States seeks an Attorney Advisor to provide legal support in various matters, including government contracts and ethics. You will research and advise management on complex regulatory issues and help limit litigation risk.

Candidates must hold a JD/LL.B. and be in good standing with a bar, with possible assignments at GS-11, GS-12, or GS-13 levels based on experience. A Secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• JD/LL.B. and active bar in good standing with the state/DC bar.
• Certificate of good standing or equivalent dated within 6 months of the closing date.
• GS-11 requires 1 year professional legal experience or LL.M. with 1 year; GS-12 requires 2 years at GS-11 level.
• GS-13 requires professional legal experience in excess of 2 years commensurate with duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and counsel on Government Contracts, Fiscal, Installation, Administrative, Ethics, Procurement Fraud, and Labor & Employment.
• Research, analyze, and interpret applicable laws to address day-to-day organizational questions.
• Represent the government before ASBCA, GAO, EEOC, MSPB and assist DOJ in Federal court cases.
