Job summary

Defense Logistics Agency seeks an Attorney Advisor (General) to provide legal support across Government Contracts, Fiscal, Installation, Administrative, Ethics, Procurement Fraud, and Labor & Employment. You will research legal authorities, analyze facts, and advise management to minimize litigation risk. You will represent before ASBCA, GAO, EEOC, MSPB and assist U.S. Attorneys in federal cases as needed.

A J.D. or LL.B. and bar admission are required; an LL.M. is advantageous.

Qualifications

• First professional law degree (J.D. or LL.B.).
• Licensed and in good standing with the bar of the state/DC.
• GS-11: 1 year of professional legal experience; GS-12/13 have additional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support, advice, and counsel on Government Contracts, Fiscal, Installation, Administrative, Ethics, Procurement Fraud, and Labor & Employment.
• Research, analyze, and interpret applicable legal authorities for day-to-day operations.
• Provide written and verbal legal advice to management to limit litigation risk.
• Represent before ASBCA, GAO, EEOC, and MSPB; assist U.S. Attorneys and DoJ in federal cases.
