Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Security Projects Manager to lead nationwide security initiatives, including design, retrofit, and training across sites. You will interact with management and customers to deliver secure, compliant systems and support bid responses and cost estimations.

The role requires extensive knowledge of security technology, regulatory requirements, and vendor management, with a focus on project delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent 4 years work experience.
• 5+ years of Security, Criminal Justice, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, Military, and/or Claims/Risk experience.
• 3+ years of experience with security technology.
• Thorough knowledge of logistics security.
• Considerable knowledge of local, state, and federal security regulations.
• Considerable knowledge of physical security technology and procedures.
• Strong skills in the use and design of security technology systems.
• Ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Strong vendor management skills.
• Ability to take identified issues and make actionable solutions including the development of procedures and alerts.

Responsibilities

• Manage security system installation projects, including oversight of costs.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute new and updated Physical Security Installation & Guideline Procedures.
• Review cost savings analyses and provide recommendations to improve processes and equipment.
• Provide advice and training pertaining to governmental and other security programs (e.g., C-TPAT, CFATS, TAPA, CCSP).
• Collaborate with Vendor Project Managers to design security systems for start up and existing sites.
• Ensure security installations start and complete on schedule.
• Prepare lessons learned at project completion.
• Oversee cost estimates for security systems and guard services for bids and sites.
• Manage guard service selection and outside protective services contractors.
• Review risk analyses for new/retro-fit projects and visit sites to verify requirements.
• Provide input for RFP/RFIs and contracts and develop security procedures.
• Develop visitor control, employee identification, and asset safeguarding procedures.
• Conduct security assessments/audits and interviews.
• Recommend CAPAs to address deficiencies and maintain equipment.
• Coordinate with supply vendors.
• Support theft investigations and restitution processes.
• Perform special projects as directed by SRD Security Operations.
• Stay current on security systems technology and applications.
