Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Thorough knowledge of bus operations and logistics

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement a district-wide vision and department goals for transportation
• Prepare, implement and manage the transportation department budget
• Manage a talented staff of professionals
• Prepare and implement efficient routes for student transportation
• Oversee maintenance of a large fleet of district-owned vehicles
• Provide effective communication with administration, staff, students and families
• Coordinate and oversee student discipline matters on district-owned vehicles
• Prepare federal and state reports as required
• Ensure compliance with all laws and RSU #57 policies and procedures
