Job summary

Cambridge Public Schools is seeking a Human Resources School Partner to lead HR liaison activities with school principals, address employee relations, and support equitable hiring practices within the district.

The role reports to the Executive Director of Human Resources and oversees onboarding, licensure, labor relations, and collaboration with colleges for educator pipelines, while aligning with DEI goals and union guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HR, including employee relations and staffing support.
• Knowledge of labor relations, collective bargaining agreements, and public sector HR operations.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
• Commitment to equity, anti-racism, and culturally responsive practices.

Responsibilities

• School-Based HR Support & Employee Relations: serve as primary HR liaison for school principals and leadership teams, guiding on personnel issues and HR policies.
• Talent Acquisition & Vacancy Management: forecast staffing needs and oversee vacancy postings per district and union guidelines.
• Onboarding, Orientation & Licensure: coordinate onboarding for new hires and monitor licensure requirements.
• Labor Relations: ensure HR operations align with collective bargaining agreements and support grievance resolution.
• College & Community Partnerships: develop partnerships with local colleges/universities for educator pipeline programs.
• HR Data & Process Improvement: maintain personnel data systems and generate staffing reports.
