Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered School Business Administrator (preferred) or CPA/MBA credentials preferred.
• Minimum of three years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and strong knowledge of financial systems and state reporting requirements.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare decision-support reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise business office, warehouse, and cafeteria operations with support from managers and supervisors.
• Maintain inventory systems, business office records, and asset documentation.
• Oversee purchasing, including review of requisitions, bid processes, and recommendations.
• Coordinate procurement schedules for instructional and operational needs.
• Provide financial reporting to partner districts and state agencies.
• Prepare monthly financial and statistical reports for the Joint Operating Committee and annual state reporting.
• Administer insurance coverage for the school and staff, including reporting and renewals.
• Serve as custodian of financial documents, securities, and inventory records.
• Develop long-range financial plans aligned with school objectives and facilities planning.
• Prepare and present the annual budget with analyses.
• Review and improve fiscal procedures and internal controls.
• Maintain accounting records for all school funds and supervise payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and cash flow.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Recommend investment strategies and verify availability of funds.
