Job summary

Warren County Schools Central Services in Warrenton, NC seeks a Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to oversee all financial operations for the school system. The role reports to the Superintendent and focuses on budgeting, reporting, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in accounting, finance or business administration with three years of professional experience; supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Except/overview of school funds receipt and expenditure.
• Assist superintendent in preparing and implementing the school budget.
• Provide leadership in developing and evaluating programs.
• Maintain ledgers and reports per local/state/federal policies.
• Supervise day-to-day operation of the business department.
• Coordinate transfers of budgeted funds as requested by program directors.
• Assist in revenue projections and bond prospectuses.
• Develop professional growth through associations and conferences.
