Job summary

Components Express is seeking a Sales Engineer to bridge technical expertise with customer needs, developing and delivering cable and harness solutions from concept through production. You will collaborate with engineering, sales, purchasing, and production to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with cable assemblies, wire harnesses, or electromechanical products preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and propose improvements to cable and harness assembly solutions.
• Support and help oversee the product lifecycle, from concept through production and delivery.
• Evaluate project feasibility and ensure all resources are in place for successful manufacturing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams.
• Assist with RFQs, quoting, and technical proposals.
• Handle and resolve customer issues and complaints from a technical perspective.
• Review and support creation of engineering drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Recommend appropriate materials, connectors, contacts, and cable components.
• Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal capabilities.
