Job summary

Using Autodesk Inventor for drawings and an ERP system for quotes, you will map materials, lead times, and production costs, while applying Mil/Aero specs where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of three years in mechanical quoting or design.
• Demonstrated expertise in electro-mechanical systems and/or cable harness design.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D modeling software.
• Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with cable harness design standards and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and sales to tailor cable harness proposals.
• Analyze specs and drawings to estimate materials and processes.
• Apply Mil/Aero specs for testing requirements and costs.
• Ensure drawings align with manufacturing capabilities for production.
• Research components, pricing, and availability to estimate lead times.
• Create detailed drawings with Autodesk Inventor to aid quoting.
• Generate quotes using Office and ERP systems; Epicor preferred.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing costs.
• Explain technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
