Border Foods LLC is seeking a Safety & Risk Manager to lead workplace safety, claims management, and risk reduction across our multi-state restaurant organization. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, using data and field insights to strengthen programs while staying involved in claims, investigations, safety training, and restaurant operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in safety, risk management, or related fields.
• Experience managing workers' compensation, general liability and other casualty claims.
• Experience investigating workplace incidents and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Proficient with technology, claims systems and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and training abilities.
• Willingness to travel regularly to restaurant locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage workers' compensation, general liability and other claims from report to resolution.
• Partner with insurers, brokers, TPAs and leaders to drive claim outcomes.
• Conduct claim reviews, monitor open claims, reduce risk cost.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Support return-to-work efforts with HR and Operations.
• Maintain claim documentation, reporting and compliance.
• Develop safety education and training for teams and leaders.
• Visit restaurants to assess risks and strengthen safety practices.
• Translate safety requirements into practical operations.
