Job summary

Knight Material Technologies seeks a Safety Director to lead safety strategy across manufacturing, field operations, and customer sites. The role acts as the safety subject-matter expert and partners with leaders to reduce risk and build a stronger safety culture.

Based in East Canton, OH, this exempt, on-site position drives regulatory compliance, incident investigations, training, emergency planning, and continuous improvement across all sites and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive safety experience, including leadership.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and incident investigation.
• Expertise in safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes safety vision, goals, and initiatives.
• Leads continuous improvement of safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures OSHA/ MSHA/ EPA compliance and maintains records and permits.
• Oversees risk assessments, hazard analyses, and corrective actions.
• Directs investigations of workplace injuries and incidents; leads root-cause analyses.
• Develops and delivers safety training for employees and supervisors.
• Establishes safety requirements for field crews and coordinates with customers.
• Monitors safety metrics and reports to leadership; drives improvements.
