Job summary

Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. is seeking a strategic Safety leader to align enterprise safety strategy with Subaru values and ISO standards. The role provides executive oversight of governance, policy maturation, and capital investments related to safety across SIA.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, and Environmental peers to drive data-driven decisions and continuous improvement, ensuring regulatory assurance and long-term operational resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Occupational Health, or equivalent
• Experience with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and/or similar regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Safety service line within SIA, aligning with enterprise objectives and regulatory expectations
• Lead and develop a high-performing Safety leadership team
• Govern Safety Policies and Procedures to drive standardization and continuous improvement
• Oversee ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System maturity and certification readiness
• Set strategic priorities for safety risk mitigation and capital investments
• Provide executive-level reporting on safety performance and investment outcomes
