Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a Senior Commercial Bank Business Risk Officer to drive risk activities for Middle Market Banking and related units. You will lead risk identification, monitoring, and reporting, partnering with business leaders to strengthen controls and governance.

This role develops the risk strategy, executes an enterprise risk framework, and mentors a team of risk professionals to sustain a strong risk culture across the Commercial Bank.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in risk, controls, or audits.
• Knowledge of asset/credit risk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive a proactive risk culture and disciplined execution of risk management practices, ensuring alignment with Huntington's overall risk appetite.
• Understand key business processes, products, and services; analyze risk impact with focus on all risk pillars; advise on risk strategies.
• Define, document, and build controls for key processes.
• Develop comprehensive testing plans for first line validation of findings, issues, and controls to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Leverage AI and data analytics to identify efficiencies, enhance risk monitoring, and support decision-making.
• Develop monitoring strategies integrating emerging risks, internal and external factors, to support mitigation.
