Job summary

The Retail Planner at Basic Resources, Inc. will play a key role in growing the assigned account base by delivering macro topline and micro-level analysis (by door and by style) for the intimates business.

You'll work closely with account buyers/planners and internal cross-functional teams to drive revenue and optimize assortment. You will create seasonal/annual financial plans, develop sales, inventory, and receipt ladders, and present insights with actionable recommendations for account

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in related role/industry.
• Experience working with department store retailers.
• 3+ years of Retail OTB experience (cost and retail accounting).
• Strong Excel and retail math skills (PivotTables and VLOOKUPs).
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and propose seasonal/annual financial plans to accounts with a clear strategy, in partnership with Sales
• Develop sales, inventory, and receipt ladder plans to drive both external and internal annual plans
• Communicate with the account planner and buyer regarding sales performance, risk or opportunities
• Analyze performance and make assortment recommendations and sales re-projections based on history and seasonal trend
• Analyze internal inventory and order reports to determine weekly/monthly inventory flow, optimal safety stock levels, and buy quantities needed to recover weeks of supply
• Collaborate with Sales and Demand planning in projecting monthly replenishment, receipt flow and markdowns based on seasonal trend
• Lead the preparation for account specific discussion in the weekly team meetings
• Develop presentation materials with financial metrics and actionable items for Account meetings
• Provide ad hoc analysis to help drive the business forward and/or address issues as they arise
• Bring strong work ethic and positive attitude to your responsibilities every day
