Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Prior experience of gasoline and retail construction preferred.
• Prior experience managing people and project.
• Some travel will be required.
• Must be computer literate.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans construction requirements by deploying company resources and planning schedules.
• Hires, orients and manages general contractors and sub-contractors.
• Monitors progress and resolves problems to meet schedules.
• Negotiates contractor rates and controls costs to meet budget objectives.
• Ensures compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Improves efficiency of construction processes and recommends revisions.
• Maintains continuity among teams by documenting actions and needs.
• Recruits, mentors and evaluates team members to foster performance.
• Develops schedules, assigns work, and enforces productivity standards.
• Contributes to team efforts and seeks continual efficiencies.
• Seeks continual efficiencies within facility maintenance and long term strategies.
