Job summary

Away is seeking a Retail Allocation Manager to join its Merchandising, Planning, & Allocation team in our Soho, NYC office. You’ll own fleet-wide allocations across 16 retail locations and the e-commerce channel, balancing stock depth with sell-through and adapting to local trends.

You’ll work with Engineering, Planning, and Finance to optimize Open-to-Buy, test tool logic, and translate performance data into practical inventory strategies for store and district managers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Retail Planning, Allocation, or OTB Management within a multi-unit retail environment (10–50 stores preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills with dynamic data structures and scenario modeling.
• Strong understanding of core retail metrics like GMROI, inventory turn, WOS, and sell-through.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute initial allocations, seasonal floorsets, and replenishment across 16 stores and e-commerce to maintain stock depth and sell-through.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to test and refine allocation tool logic and processes.
• Manage monthly Open-to-Buy tracking and reporting in partnership with Planning and Finance leadership.
• Perform fleet inventory health analysis and escalate stock risks with recommended operational adjustments.
• Coordinate with Operations and 3PL to optimize delivery schedules and inventory flow across the fleet.
