Job summary

Away is seeking a Retail Allocation Manager in New York to own end-to-end inventory allocation for 16 stores and our e-commerce channel. You will optimize stock depth, sell-through, and seasonal floorsets while partnering with Engineering, Data, Planning, Stores, and 3PL teams.

You will drive OTB, replenishment, and assortment strategies using local trends, performance data, and demographic insights. This is an office-based role in Soho, NYC with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Retail Planning, Allocation, or OTB Management in a multi-unit retail environment (10–50 stores preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills (dynamic data structures, scenario modeling, complex formulas) and experience with enterprise planning software or BI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute initial allocations, seasonal floorsets, and replenishment across 16 retail stores and e-commerce, maintaining optimal stock depth and sell-through.
• Execute allocation routines and collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to test and refine tool logic and processes.
• Execute store replenishment and evaluate performance using tiering frameworks, incorporating local climate, capacity, trends, and demographics.
• Identify location-specific best sellers and slow movers, translating trends into actionable recommendations for future seasons.
• Maintain feedback loops with Store and District Managers to incorporate hyper-local trends and competitive shifts into allocation strategies.
• Manage monthly Open-to-Buy (OTB) tracking and reporting, evaluating variances with Planning leadership.
• Support tracking of store-level revenue plans and identify variances between targets and trends.
• Perform fleet inventory health analysis and propose operational adjustments to planning leadership.
• Collaborate with Operations and 3PL partners to optimize delivery schedules, stock buffer management, and inventory flow.
