Job summary

Kindred Hospital Lima seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapy leader to direct the Respiratory Therapy Services. You will plan, supervise and optimize clinical operations, staff performance and patient safety for cardiopulmonary care.

The role requires licensure, RRT credentials, and 3+ years of respiratory care management experience, including ABG lab oversight. A focus on quality, budgeting, and CQI is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Administration preferred.
• Current Respiratory Therapy license required by state licensing body.
• RRT credential in compliance with NBRC CMP (CMP maintained).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum three years of experience in all aspects of respiratory care.
• Management experience preferred.
• Experience managing a Point of Care ABG Lab preferred.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Directs the hospital’s Respiratory Therapy Services under limited supervision.
• Plans, directs and monitors operations, resources and staff of the Respiratory Therapy Department.
• Administers respiratory therapy and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Performs diagnostic testing to aid diagnosis and treatment of heart/lung issues.
• Ensures regulatory and accreditation standards compliance in the department.
• Maintains department CQI and performance improvement activities.
• Develops and revises policies; manages staff hiring, training and evaluations.
• Assures equipment maintenance, supply management and budget adherence.
• Schedules procedures and maintains records; ensures patient safety and quality care.
