Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Strauss Center for International Security and Law seeks a Research Program Coordinator and Assistant to the Director. You will provide executive support to the Director and senior staff, manage travel and research tasks, and coordinate with faculty, students, and external partners to advance center initiatives.

Responsibilities include day-to-day operations, event planning and catering, budget tracking, grant administration, and maintaining center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3 years of program administration/coordination.
• Experience with accounting and grants.
• Experience with event planning and execution.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Experience with UT-Austin systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive support to the Director and other executives with administrative needs, travel planning, research tasks, and external liaison.
• Reconcile and track expenses, coordinating with the law school’s accounting team and managing grant paperwork.
• Plan, manage, and execute Strauss Center events, including catering and logistics.
• Oversee Strauss Center space, website updates, and social media accounts; manage visitors and scheduling.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
