Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks an Associate Director of Research Operations to lead research administration, improve processes, and ensure compliance across the College of Liberal Arts.

Reporting to the Associate Dean for Research, this role oversees the College Research Support Office, partners with central offices, and drives strategic initiatives to expand externally funded research on UT's main campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and CRA credential required.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in research administration.
• Experience with pre-award and post-award activities.
• Experience supervising professional staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of sponsor regulations and university policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for research administration across the College of Liberal Arts.
• Oversee College Research Support Office operations and staff.
• Coordinate compliance, policies, and coordination with central offices.
• Develop training materials and lead organizational change initiatives.
