Job summary

Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF) identifies and litigates important legal issues to set landmark precedents nationwide. The Strategic Research intern will join PLF’s Strategic Research team, producing high-quality social science research to support mission-driven goals and coordinating with PLF’s Litigation, Legal Policy, Constitutional Scholarship, and Communications teams.

Interns work remotely by default, but may request to work physically in any PLF office.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college junior, senior, grad student, or recent graduate.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in liberty and public policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with public officials to obtain public records.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data using Excel, R, Python, GIS or Stata.
• Conduct literature reviews on regulatory reform, housing, property rights, and related topics.
• Develop internal data for litigation, communications, or legal policy campaigns.
• Write blog posts, op-eds, or one-pagers on PLF topics.
