Pacific Legal Foundation invites an inquisitive and motivated intern to join the Strategic Research team. This paid internship focuses on social science research to support PLF’s mission-driven goals and involves collaboration across litigation, policy, and communications.

The position offers remote work by default, with the option to work from PLF offices, and requires strong written and oral communication, data-handling skills, and an interest in liberty-based public policy.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Current student or recent graduate in the United States.
• Interest in liberty and public policy.
• Experience with data analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with public officials to obtain public records.
• Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data using Excel, R, Python, GIS, or Stata.
• Conducting literature reviews on topics such as regulatory reform, housing supply, property rights, coastal land rights, and more.
• Developing internal data for litigation, communications, or legal policy campaigns.
• Writing blog posts, op-eds, or one-pagers on PLF topics.
