California State University, Fullerton seeks a Research Development Officer to assist faculty in securing external grants and contracts. You will guide proposal development, critique narratives and SOWs, and help manage budgets, reporting to the Manager of the Office of Research Development.

You will coordinate with ORSP, deans, chairs, and university partners to advance campus-wide research initiatives, trainings, and strategic planning, while maintaining high integrity and service standards.

Qualifikationen

• Provide expert knowledge of the proposal development process within the designated college(s) and research areas.
• Experience in higher education, a research laboratory, school district, or a government agency preferred.
• Ability to review, critique, and provide constructive feedback on proposal abstracts, narratives, and SOWs.

• Assist faculty with identifying funding opportunities and analyzing eligibility and competitiveness.
• Review, critique, and provide feedback on proposal abstracts, narratives, and SOWs with strong writing.
• Support budget development and manage research grants and contracts activities.
• Coordinate pre-proposal efforts through ORSP for operational effectiveness.
• Participate in ORSP and College staff meetings and collaborate with related offices.
