Job summary

CSU Fullerton Auxiliary Services Corporation (ASC) invites applications for a Research Development Officer to assist faculty in securing external grants and contracts that advance CSUF’s research, scholarship, and educational mission.

The successful candidate will collaborate with ORSP, college leadership, and academic units to stimulate proposal writing, coordinate pre-proposal efforts, and support trainings and strategic planning for campus-wide research development.

Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or research administration preferred.
• Ability to interpret complex information for a wide audience.
• Strong writing and editing skills for proposals and SOWs.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and private funders policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with identifying funding opportunities and analyzing eligibility.
• Provide expert knowledge of the proposal development process within designated colleges and areas.
• Review and critique proposal abstracts, narratives, and SOWs during pre-award.
• Support budget development and manage grant/contract activities per funders’ policies.
