Job summary

University of Houston is seeking a Research Funding Liaison to support the funding process for Research Science and Education. The role collaborates with internal and external partners to coordinate proposals, funding opportunities, and commercialization strategies.

This position emphasizes building alliances, coordinating grant activities, and managing funding-related programs to advance university research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or highest level of general business knowledge.
• Minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
• Experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and maintains research alliances to formulate and implement projects.
• Coordinates and assists with writing funding proposals and related activities.
• Identifies technologies with high commercialization potential and develops transfer strategies.
• Serves on special projects at the director's discretion.
• Acts as liaison between the office of research, faculty and funding agencies.
• Coordinates visits of local, state, national, and international visitors; arranges meetings.
• Serves as program and administrative manager for funding processes and assists in grants.
• Assists in developing research clusters and supports multi-PI proposals.
• Develops marketing plans for technologies, including newsletters, website, and press releases.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
