Job summary

Prairie View A&M University invites applications for a Research Development Officer (RDO) who will support the university’s growing research enterprise and contribute to its goal of advancing toward R1 status. The RDO will collaborate with faculty, researchers, and administrative units to enhance proposal competitiveness, strengthen multidisciplinary collaborations, and support externally funded projects.

Qualifications

Knowledge of NIH and biomedical research environment.
Understanding of a broad spectrum of research designs and scopes.
Ability to multitask and collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

Assist in development of large, multidisciplinary proposals and coordinate proposal teams.
Provide high-level editing, narrative refinement, and project management for submissions.
Develop boilerplate content and institutional content (facilities, plans, cybersecurity, workforce development).
Disseminate funding opportunities to colleges, departments and research clusters.
Support capacity building and faculty development for competitive proposals.
