Job summary

Yale Cancer Center seeks a Research Development and Analytics Specialist to lead analytics, reporting, and program support for competitive funding. You will gather and analyze institutional data, develop dashboards, manage proposal processes, and coordinate cross‑campus collaborations to strengthen Yale's research portfolio.

Reporting to the Director of Research Development, this role requires strong editing, communication, and project management skills, plus experience with federal funding

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with a minimum of five years related professional/managerial work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience interpreting grant solicitations, evaluating projects for opportunities, and managing proposal components.
• Significant editing, writing, and review of research proposals.
• Strong data gathering, analytics, and reporting to support evidence-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification and evaluation of funding sources for large grants (> $1M).
• Assist researchers in interpreting solicitations and developing proposal timelines.
• Coordinate program communications and document management for team access to materials.
• Develop, write, and edit non-scientific sections of proposals and provide input on content and presentation.
• Catalyze development of proposals for large grant mechanisms and monitor opportunities.
• Maintain calendar of funding activities and track opportunities and timelines.
• Collaborate with Sponsored Programs Services and other departments on proposals.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
