Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison invites applications for a Multi-functional Research Administration Manager in the College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence. The role provides comprehensive pre- and post-award research administration support for faculty and manages a portfolio across the grant lifecycle.

You will collaborate with faculty, college leadership, and campus partners to advance proposal development, award management, compliance, and closeout while helping evolve processes

Qualifications

• Experience applying fiscal and administrative rules for sponsored projects.
• Experience with pre- and post-award research administration including grant proposal development and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key resource to leadership and staff in the unit and liaise with partners.
• Submit proposals, agreements, or invoices to sponsors on behalf of the PI or project director (where authorized).
• Execute activities related to proposal submission, contract negotiation, and/or award setup.
• Ensure financial compliance, audit, or reporting for the unit.
• Implement research administration policies and procedures across the lifecycle of sponsored projects.
• Provide training to faculty, staff, and administrators on policy and execution of sponsored project administration.
• May supervise daily activities of research administration staff.
• Review programmatic transactions to ensure compliance with policies.
