Job summary

TEKsystems in Charlotte, NC seeks a Release Manager for a contract position on a hybrid schedule. You will understand release/deployment components, assess risks, and facilitate team planning ceremonies to align with release milestones.

The role requires hands-on experience with ITSM tools (Remedy, ServiceNow), Jira, MS Project, and strong skills in risk, change, and interface coordination. Expect collaboration across IT teams and delivery of smooth releases; pay ranges $65–70/hr.

Qualifications

• Moderate to advanced Project Planning software skills (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
• Moderate to advanced Meeting facilitation skills
• At least moderate exposure to Jira tools
• Moderate to advanced experience with Production “record of change” tools such as ITSM Remedy or ServiceNow (Tasks, Configuration Item management, Relationships, etc.)
• Previous experience with Risk Management (identifying and escalating release related risks)
• Managing and coordinating assigned change from initiation to closure
• Coordinating interfaces between Change Management and other ITSM processes
• Coordinating planning, implementation, and verification activities with all change stakeholders
• Planning and runbook reviews with change stakeholders
• Stakeholder management
• Facilitating the triage of any issues found during release related activities
• Able to learn and understand tools that must be used for the completion of the above job duties (e.g. Remedy, Cutover, MS Project, Jira, Release Manager Tool)
• Identifying and escalating risks and concerns
