Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering / engineering technology, math or related discipline required.
• Minimum 4 years relevant work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word).
• SAP, Business Explorer, Qlikview, and other data querying tools is a plus.
• Must be willing to travel for business to other company locations and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for hearings, meetings and other activities, which may include overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to ensure FE PA recovers costs in a timely manner.
• Shape strategic direction through regulatory proceedings, including testimony and discovery.
• Develop understanding of ratemaking concepts: revenue requirements, cost allocation, cost of service, rate of return, regulatory accounting, time value of money.
• Strengthen FE PA's regulatory relationships with the PUC Staff and external community.
• Develop regulatory strategies on grid modernization and other technologies, line extensions, interconnections, lighting topics.
• Support regional customer service and engineering on tariff implementation and inquiries.
• Conduct business-specific research, analyze data, interpret results, and make recommendations.
• Meet needs of internal and external customers with quality service and responsiveness.
• Provide analytical support to mid to executive management.
• Develop alternatives and recommendations to advance company positions and improve processes.
• Build effective working relationships across the FirstEnergy organization.
• Seek ongoing learning about evolving regulatory and policy issues.
