Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Energy Efficiency Reporting team. This full-time, on-site role supports multi-state portfolio operations, regulatory filings, and management reporting, translating data into actionable insights for executives and regulators.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, with strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst (7+ for Advanced/Senior).
• Utility, energy efficiency, or regulated industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely regulatory and management reports in accordance with state, federal, and company requirements.
• Analyze program performance and compliance against approved regulatory plans and benchmarks.
• Support regulatory filings and recommend program changes to maintain compliance.
• Reconcile and validate Energy Efficiency Tracking and Reporting System data.
• Investigate data discrepancies, identify anomalies, and ensure data integrity.
• Develop presentations and reporting materials for management, regulators, and stakeholder groups.
