Job summary

Alabama Power seeks a Regulatory Policy & Planning leader to drive regulatory strategy, analytics, and messaging across the company. The role will coordinate with Legal, Finance, Operations, and External Affairs to implement strategies, educate regulators, and manage stakeholder engagement while aligning with long term business priorities.

This senior position requires strategic judgment, strong communication, and executive-ready materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Advanced degree, professional certification, or equivalent experience in business, analytics, finance, regulation, or public policy highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead new regulatory implementation strategy and execution.
• Lead regulatory strategy and analytics for industry research.
• Lead work direction of analysts and project managers, and cross-functional project teams.
• Provide education and training of core business with regulators and staff.
• Manage performance metrics review and external stakeholder engagement.
• Lead development of regulatory positioning and strategic messaging.
• Support customer rate strategy and regulatory policy development.
