Job summary

Alabama Power Company seeks a Regulatory Strategy and Analytics Manager to lead regulatory strategy development, analytics, and stakeholder engagement. The role drives policy, research, and performance metrics to support customer rate objectives and regulatory compliance.

The position requires executive-level communication, cross-functional leadership, and experience with the Alabama Public Service Commission (APSC) or similar bodies. Located at APC Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certification preferred.
• Significant experience in utility regulation, regulatory policy, rates, financial analysis, strategic planning, or related utility functions.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of regulatory strategies and analytics.
• Oversee regulatory research, metrics, and engagement planning with the APSC and staff.
• Direct analysts and project teams; deliver executive-ready materials.
• Educate and train core business units and regulators.
• Manage performance metrics and external stakeholder engagement.
• Develop regulatory positioning and strategic messaging; support rate strategy.
