Job summary

Alabama Power Company is seeking a Regulatory Strategy and Analytics Analyst to support regulatory affairs through advanced data analytics, visualization, and AI-driven research. The role collaborates with finance, planning, operations, and customer service to transform complex information into actionable insights.

Responsibilities include developing regulatory strategies, maintaining performance metrics, and supporting rate filings and compliance efforts with the APSC and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; engineering preferred.
• MBA desirable.
• Experience with data analytics modeling and interpretation is required.
• Experience performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, benchmarking, trend analysis, and performance metric evaluation is required.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and rate mechanisms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop data analytics tools to monitor regulatory issues, policies and trends.
• Support compliance with new regulatory requirements across businesses.
• Assist rate filings, RSE and CNP activities with the Commission.
• Develop annual performance metrics and support reviews with the APSC and Attorney General’s Office.
• Conduct peer utility and jurisdictional research and share insights with management.
• Coordinate with internal and external regulatory stakeholders.
