Job summary

Avardis Health is seeking a strategic, hands-on Regional Director of Human Resources to lead HR operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities in the Jackson, MS region. You will shape workforce strategy, coach HR partners, and drive talent initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Reporting to the Regional VP of Operations, you will oversee recruitment, retention, investigations, compliance, and workforce analytics, while partnering with Legal and corporate resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business or healthcare administration or related field.
• Progressive HR leadership in multi-site or regional environments.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred.
• Expertise in employee relations, investigations, retention, compliance, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Ability to analyze workforce data and identify trends.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner to the Regional Vice President of Operations and regional leadership team.
• Lead regional workforce planning and turnover analysis.
• Coach HR Partners across care centers in the region.
• Develop recruitment, retention, engagement, recognition, and culture-improvement strategies.
• Analyze workforce trends to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
• Partner with leaders on performance, succession, and organizational change.
• Oversee complex investigations and high-risk employee relations matters.
• Promote consistent application of policies and HR practices.
• Lead regional HR audits and compliance initiatives.
• Oversee unemployment claims and cost-reduction efforts.
• Support acquisitions and enterprise HR initiatives with Legal and corporate resources.
• Conduct regular facility visits to assess HR operations.
