State of Vermont is seeking a Recruitment & Retention Supervisor to lead the recruitment and retention team, oversee background investigations, and manage projects related to attracting and retaining staff across Vermont facilities and programs. This role reports to senior leadership and collaborates with HR and DOC managers.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree AND two (2) years or more of experience as a human resources generalist or as a recruiter/ talent acquisition specialist; including or supplemented by one (1) or more years of experience supervising employees.
• High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of experience as a human resources generalist or as a recruiter/ talent acquisition specialist; including or supplemented by two (2) or more years of experience supervising employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment and retention coordinators and background investigations.
• Develop strategies for recruitment, onboarding, and messaging to attract candidates.
• Ensure compliance with PREA, background checks, and hiring standards.
