Job summary

Genentech seeks a Real Estate Specialist to drive operational execution of our real estate portfolio in California. You will manage end-to-end deal lifecycles, ensure lease compliance, and coordinate cross-functional teams across Legal, Finance, Site Operations, and Design & Construction to keep transactions on track.

You will maintain portfolio records, generate key reports, process rental payments, and support site operations while identifying friction points to streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional experience in corporate real estate, commercial finance, or legal operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven ability to manage processes and build cross-functional relationships within a matrixed org.
• Proficient in MS Office/Google Workspace and real estate management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist end-to-end execution of acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing with due diligence and closing support.
• Coordinate internal and external teams to meet transaction timelines and milestones.
• Maintain portfolio records and trackers for renewals, expirations, and payments.
• Monitor lease documentation to ensure governance and insurance compliance.
• Review purchase orders and compile reports to process rent and property payments.
• Support property management workflows and internal site-operations alignment.
• Identify friction points and streamline administrative and transaction workflows.
