The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a Principal, Real Estate Strategy and Projects to shape and execute OCC’s real estate footprint across its offices and data centers. This individual contributor role collaborates with Facilities Management leadership to drive strategy, siting, and capital project delivery from business case through handoff.

Location includes Chicago, IL with offices in Dallas, TX and Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, finance, architecture, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate real estate, with portfolio strategy, lease transactions, and capital project delivery.
• Strong understanding of commercial lease structures, negotiation dynamics, and real estate financial analysis.
• Experience managing capital projects or construction from planning through delivery.
• Excellent executive presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and communicate long-range real estate strategy tied to business and workforce planning.
• Experience working cross-functionally with facilities, technology, HR, finance, and legal teams.

Responsabilités

• Maintain oversight of the current office and data center portfolio in Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; and Washington, D.C.
• Develop and maintain long-range real estate strategy aligned with growth, hybrid work trends, and cost targets.
• Lead site selection for new or relocated offices and manage end-to-end lease lifecycle.
• Lead capital projects from business case through design, construction, and handoff; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and partners, including brokers, landlords, and internal counsel.
• Coordinate with Finance on real estate accounting and capital planning.
