Job summary

Beacon Hill, a real estate organization, is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting function. You will partner with executive leadership to drive process improvements and operational efficiency while overseeing a team of accounting professionals.

This is a visible leadership role with cross-functional collaboration across budgeting, forecasting, audits, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years of leadership, strong GAAP reporting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of accounting leadership experience.
• Real estate, property management, or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
• Strong financial reporting and general ledger accounting background.
• Experience managing and developing accounting staff.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude.
• CPA is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Review general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax and reporting requirements.
• Manage cash flow reporting and banking activities.
• Develop and improve accounting processes, controls, and procedures.
• Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed.
