Job summary

Lonza in Portsmouth, NH seeks a Raw Material Planner to ensure timely planning, procurement, and availability of materials supporting production schedules.

You will convert planned orders, manage supplier relationships, and maintain SAP-driven material plans while monitoring KPIs and inventory targets to sustain production flow. The role emphasizes collaboration and process improvement in a GMP-regulated setting.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent in Supply Chain or related field preferred; math and analysis skills required.
• Experience in materials planning, purchasing, procurement, or inventory management preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP systems and MRP processes.
• Strong data interpretation and metrics development abilities.
• Proficient with Excel; good PowerPoint skills for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely planning, procurement, and availability of materials to support production.
• Convert planned orders into material plans and manage requirements for schedules.
• Collaborate with Supply Planners to maintain accurate material plans.
• Create and maintain material planning parameters in SAP and related systems.
• Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders to support production needs.
• Coordinate with vendors to expedite material availability and resolve issues.
• Monitor KPIs and reporting for supply chain performance and inventory visibility.
• Support forecasting for non-BOM materials and consumables inventory.
• Establish inventory targets and safety stock levels with teams.
• Maintain accurate data on materials, vendors, and purchasing in SAP.
