Job summary

PPG is seeking a Raw Material Planner to ensure timely procurement and inventory levels for production at the Springdale, PA site. The role focuses on raw materials, supplier relationships, and cross-functional coordination to meet KPI targets and improve material availability.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this on-site position emphasizes collaboration with operations, procurement, and warehouse teams to support a reliable supply chain and optimized working capital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, logistics, engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years planning/buying experience in raw materials or finished goods; OR 5+ years in manufacturing supply chain.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of MRP and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders with vendors and track deliveries through the cycle.
• Analyze MRP and action messages for short- to mid-term procurement (1–6 months).
• Collaborate with supply chain operations and procurement to resolve issues.
• Ensure raw material availability to meet weekly production schedules and Oracle timing requirements.
• Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, or supplier quality teams to resolve receipt/invoice issues.
• Maintain health of assigned raw material inventories.
