Job summary

The Bachrach Group seeks a Strategic Quoting Specialist in Pittsburgh, PA. You will manage material quote requests, verify BOMs for sourcing needs, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on cost strategies.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree (or Associate’s) with relevant experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Knowledge of PCBA and mechanical assemblies is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to read and interpret BOMs and mechanical drawings
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
• Experience with electronic components, PCBA’s and mechanical assemblies preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare, send, and track material quote requests to meet deadlines
• Review BOMs to determine inventory availability or new sourcing needs
• Work directly with suppliers to obtain and clarify quotes
• Analyze pricing, compare supplier quotes, and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, and Engineering teams on supplier and cost strategies
• Identify alternate components for obsolete or long‑lead parts
