Job summary

Pathways for Life in Arizona is seeking a Director of Quality & Compliance to build and lead the organization-wide quality and compliance function, strengthening regulatory readiness and turning complex requirements into practical systems.

This full-time role leads the QA & Compliance team, oversees audits and accreditation readiness, and ensures ongoing governance of policies and records across programs and locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, quality management, compliance, business administration, social services, or a related field required.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, or experience with Medicaid-funded or regulated human services programs strongly preferred.
• Experience with CARF or other healthcare accreditation processes strongly preferred.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to develop policies, procedures, SOPs, audit reports, and corrective action plans.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, audits, and ongoing initiatives.
• Sound judgment, objectivity, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to escalate compliance concerns.
• Ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships across departments and locations.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the organization's Quality Assurance & Compliance Department, including strategy and workflows.
• Lead and support the Quality & Compliance team through clear expectations and performance management.
• Maintain organization-wide oversight of member and caregiver compliance and audit-ready records.
• Oversee the Attendant Care Monitoring program with reporting and corrective action.
• Develop and lead the Internal Audit Program with risk-based audits and follow-ups.
• Lead governance of policies, procedures, and SOPs across the organization.
• Coordinate external audits, regulatory reviews, licensing inspections, and corrective actions.
• Lead CARF accreditation readiness, including gap assessments and survey prep.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and drive corrective action with leadership.
