Job summary

Maximus is seeking a senior program manager to lead pursuit teams and drive the timely delivery of complex proposals across multiple workstreams. The role focuses on creating and managing integrated project plans, tracking milestones, and ensuring readiness for executive reviews.

This fully remote position requires strong cross-functional coordination across operations, IT, pricing, HR, finance, sales, and proposals, plus experience with AI-enabled reporting and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of professional experience.
• Experience managing complex pursuits, proposals, implementations, or other deadline-driven projects with multiple workstreams.
• Strong cross-functional coordination across operations, IT, pricing, HR, finance, sales, proposals, SMEs and leadership.
• Clear communication, proactive escalation, and use of AI-enabled tools to streamline notes and risk visibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit teams to deliver actions and milestones aligned to RFP requirements.
• Create and manage integrated project plans, milestone schedules, dependencies, decision checkpoints, and readiness calendars.
• Track action ownership, due dates, completion status, risks, issues, and leadership follow-ups.
• Manage risk, issue, and action-item logs; escalate decisions with options and next steps.
• Coordinate across functions to maintain schedule adherence and governance; mentor junior staff.
