Job summary

Benesch seeks a Marketing Pursuit Director to lead our strategic approach to priority pursuits across markets and service lines. This high-impact role partners with firm leaders, seller/doers, project leaders, and technical teams to develop differentiated pursuit strategies and win proposals.

The ideal candidate brings a track record in complex pursuits, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to translate client insights into compelling win strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field required.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in professional services marketing, pursuit management, or related fields.
• Experience leading complex, high-value pursuits from strategy to interview performance.
• Strong understanding of capture planning, proposal development, client positioning, and competitive intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic pursuit planning for priority opportunities across markets and service lines.
• Facilitate pursuit strategy workshops, kickoff meetings, and strategic reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Develop messaging strategies for proposals, qualifications, interviews, and client-facing opportunities.
• Guide capture planning and pre-positioning activities with project leaders and technical teams.
• Coach marketing staff and project leaders on persuasive communication and client-focused messaging.
• Mentor and develop marketing professionals to strengthen strategic thinking and pursuit leadership.
