Job summary

Lithion Battery Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials for operations in Henderson, NV. The role emphasizes research, negotiation, and strong vendor relationships within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will manage supplier networks, track orders, and coordinate with QA to meet specifications, while leveraging ERP systems to optimize planning and records. This is a full-time on-site position in Henderson.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and inventory control.
• Understanding of supply chain procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Office and an ERP system.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to evaluate vendors and products.
• Working knowledge of purchasing regulations and procedures.
• Must be able to read, write and speak/understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Researches potential vendors and suppliers in order to secure competitive pricing and services
• Negotiates contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms
• Seeks out potential new vendors and suppliers
• Places orders with vendors and suppliers
• Tracks and monitors the delivery of orders and invoices
• Monitors material planning through our ERP
• Manages relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Monitors vendor performance and ensures adherence to contractual agreements
• Maintains accurate records of purchases, pricing, and invoices
• Addresses and resolves any issues or disputes with vendors
• Identifies and sources electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, and other PCBA materials from a network of reliable suppliers.
• Collaborates with the quality assurance team to ensure components meet required specifications and standards.
• Performs other duties outside their scope of work as assigned and required
