Job summary

Steele Solutions seeks a Purchasing Supervisor to lead the purchasing team, secure quality materials, and optimize total cost while supporting production schedules and customer commitments. You will drive strategic sourcing, negotiations, and supplier development initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing purchasing, strong Excel and ERP experience (Epicor), and a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Epicor ERP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the purchasing team, set priorities and drive accountability.
• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities: sourcing, quotes, PO issuance, order tracking.
• Lead improvement projects to reduce waste and improve supplier performance.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to maximize value for the organization.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions when needed.
• Support production schedules and align purchasing with customer commitments.
